What we actually do

Offensive security. That means looking for the flaws in a system using the same techniques as somebody trying to get in, and then writing down what we found, how we got there and what is worth fixing first.

What being in Barcelona changes, and what it does not

Worth saying plainly: almost none of the technical work depends on the city. A web, API, cloud, mobile, AI or external pentest is done remotely, and it would come out the same if we were at the other end of the map.

Two things do change, and both of them are logistics.

  1. The work that has to happen from inside

    An internal pentest is launched from your own network, and a wireless one has to be done within range of your access points. It can be solved by shipping a prepared box, and often is, but if you are in Barcelona we come over instead.

  2. The meetings where something gets decided

    The kick-off, where the scope is agreed, and the readout, where somebody has to explain the findings to whoever signs off the budget to fix them. Both go better in a room than on a call. That is what the Diagonal office is for.

Everything else does not get better because we are nearby, and saying otherwise would be selling you proximity instead of work.
